Our Associational WMU sponsored Christmas in August which was held at Center Grove Baptist Church on August 7. We had a wonderful time.
We were entertained by Michael Baker, an illusionist. The kids & adults loved him. He shared how Satan tries to deceive us but Jesus Christ will always give us the truth.
Our mission project was collecting change or money for Cullman Caring for Kids. $1 will buy 7 pounds of groceries. Our goal was 2009 lbs. We praise the Lord that we well-exceeded our goal & at this time have collected $1852.00 which will buy 12,964 lbs of groceries.
A list of the churches who participated in collecting or coming is as follows: Center Grove, Duck River, Enon, Fairview First, Hanceville First, Holly Pond First, Lake Catoma, New Hope North, Oak Level, Pleasant Grove, Simcoe, Vinemont First, Walter, Welcome, and West Side Eva.
